Document: eventOS Attendee Terms of Sale Version: 1.1 Last updated: 20 July 2026 Effective date: 20 July 2026
These Terms of Sale (the "Terms") apply when you buy or hold a ticket through the eventOS platform operated by DZND Limited (RC 9483106), whose registered office is at 2 Ayika Close, Federal Housing Estate, 3-3, Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria ("eventOS", "we", "us", "our"). By purchasing, receiving, holding, or using a ticket, you ("you", the "Attendee") agree to these Terms.
1. eventOS is the platform, not the organiser
1.1 eventOS provides the technology that event organisers ("Organisers") use to sell tickets and admit attendees. Your contract to attend an event is with the Organiser, not with eventOS. The Organiser is responsible for the event, its delivery, line-up, safety, and its refund policy.
1.2 eventOS facilitates your purchase, issues your ticket, delivers it, and provides the QR-based admission system. eventOS is not the seller of the event experience, is not the merchant of record for the event, and is not a party to, or guarantor of, the event (see clause 12).
2. Buying a ticket
2.1 Price and currency. Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise. The total amount payable is shown at checkout before you pay. Where the Organiser has chosen to pass the platform service fee to attendees, that fee is added on top of the ticket face value and shown as part of your total at checkout. Where the Organiser absorbs it, no separate service fee is added.
2.2 Payment. Payment is processed securely by Paystack. eventOS does not store your card or bank details and does not receive, hold, or custody your payment funds. Your payment is subject to Paystack's terms and your bank's terms.
2.3 Confirmation. A ticket is confirmed only when payment is successfully verified. Until then, inventory is held temporarily and may be released. If your payment fails, is abandoned, or times out, your reservation is released and no ticket is issued. If you are charged but do not receive a ticket, contact us (clause 13) with your payment reference and we will investigate.
2.4 Accurate details. You must provide an accurate email address and name. Your ticket(s) and QR code(s) are delivered to the email you provide. Where you buy several tickets in one purchase, we may deliver them together in a single confirmation email; each ticket has its own QR code and admits one person.
3. Your ticket
3.1 Your admission credential. Each ticket carries a unique, cryptographically signed QR code. The QR code is your admission credential — keep it confidential and do not share, post publicly, or duplicate it. A ticket admits the stated number of people once; once scanned it cannot be reused.
3.2 Duplicate or tampered tickets. If the same ticket is presented more than once, only the first valid scan is admitted. Door staff may refuse admission to duplicated, publicly-shared, screenshotted-and-forwarded, or tampered tickets. We are not responsible if you are refused admission because your ticket was shared or copied by you or someone you sent it to.
3.3 Event conditions. Tickets may carry additional conditions set by the Organiser (age limits, ID requirements, dress code, no re-entry, prohibited items). These are shown on the event page and form part of your contract with the Organiser. It is your responsibility to read and meet them.
4. Refunds, cancellations and changes
4.1 Organiser policy governs. Refunds are governed by the Organiser's published refund policy for the event, shown on the event page, together with your non-excludable rights under the FCCPA. eventOS does not set the Organiser's refund policy.
4.2 Cancellation or material change. If an event is cancelled or materially changed (for example a substantially different date, venue or headline line-up), you may be entitled to a refund from the Organiser. eventOS will pass cancellation information through and can facilitate refunds via Paystack at the Organiser's instruction, but the refund obligation rests with the Organiser.
4.3 How to request. Direct refund requests to the Organiser through the support channel on the event page. If the Organiser is unresponsive, contact us (clause 13); we will try to assist but cannot guarantee a refund the Organiser declines, except where required by law.
4.4 Service fee on refunds. Where the platform service fee was passed through to you and added on top at checkout, that service fee is not refundable on a discretionary or change-of-mind refund; on a full refund for a cancelled or materially-changed event, you are refunded the amount the Organiser refunds and, where required by law, the service fee.
5. Transfers and resale
5.1 Where the Organiser enables ticket transfer, you may transfer a ticket through the tools provided. On transfer, the original ticket is invalidated and a new credential is issued to the recipient.
5.2 Proving the ticket is yours. To protect ticket holders, a transfer requires proof of ownership: you must either be signed in to the attendee account that holds the ticket, or use a secure single-use transfer link we email to the address used at checkout. Knowing a ticket reference and email address is not sufficient to transfer a ticket. Transfer links expire and can only be used for the ticket they were issued for. Keep transfer links private — anyone with the link can transfer that ticket.
5.3 Unauthorised commercial resale, touting, or resale above face value may be restricted by the Organiser or by law and may void the ticket without refund.
6. Attendee conduct and assumption of risk
6.1 You must comply with the Organiser's and venue's rules and with the law. The Organiser or venue may refuse or revoke admission, without refund, for unlawful, unsafe, intoxicated, or disruptive behaviour.
6.2 Assumption of risk. Attendance at live events carries inherent risks. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you attend at your own risk and eventOS is not responsible for personal injury, loss or damage suffered at or in connection with an event, which is a matter between you, the Organiser and the venue.
7. The AI assistant
7.1 Where enabled, eventOS offers an AI assistant that can answer questions about your own tickets, transfers, refunds and event details. It is an optional support tool.
7.2 It is informational only. Assistant answers are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not legal, financial or medical advice. They do not vary these Terms, your ticket, the Organiser's terms, or any refund outcome. Where an assistant answer conflicts with your ticket, the event listing, the Organiser's decision or these Terms, those prevail.
7.3 What it can and cannot do. The assistant is read-only and scoped to your own account. It cannot see another attendee's tickets, and it cannot buy, cancel, refund or transfer anything on your behalf. Any action must be taken by you in the product.
7.4 Don't share sensitive data. Do not enter card numbers, bank details, passwords, BVN/NIN or health information into the assistant. Your messages and the assistant's replies are stored as a conversation transcript and are processed as described in the Privacy Notice, including transmission to a third-party AI provider that is contractually barred from training on them.
7.5 Fair use. The assistant is rate-limited. Do not use it to attempt to extract other people's data, to probe or attack the Platform, or to generate unlawful or abusive content. We may suspend access for misuse.
8. Community groups
8.1 Where enabled, you can create or join groups to coordinate with other attendees, share published events into a group, and answer a group roll-call (going / thinking / can't). A roll-call response is a social signal only — it is not a ticket, a reservation, or any entitlement to admission.
8.2 Invite links. Groups are not publicly searchable and there is no attendee directory. Groups are joined by invite link. Treat an invite link as semi-public: anyone who has it can join until it expires or is rotated or revoked by the group owner. Do not post invite links publicly if you do not want strangers joining.
8.3 What other members see. Other members of a group see your display name, the events you share, any note you attach, and your roll-call response. They do not see your email address or phone number, and they do not see which tickets you hold unless your own visibility setting for that group allows it.
8.4 Your content. You are responsible for what you post or share into a group, and you must not share content that breaks the Acceptable Use Policy — including harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, spam or unlawful material. Group owners may remove members; removed members cannot rejoin using the invite link that was current when they were removed.
8.5 Blocking and reporting. You can block another attendee. Blocking makes the two of you mutually invisible across group member lists, roll-calls and follows. You can report abuse to us at the contact in clause 13. We may remove content, groups, or accounts that breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
8.6 Safety. eventOS does not verify the identity of other attendees. Use the same caution you would with any online group when arranging to meet people. We are not responsible for the conduct of other attendees, whether online or in person; clause 12 applies.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us or the Organiser first so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback for a ticket you used, or in bad faith, may result in the ticket being voided and, at the Organiser's or our discretion, a restriction on future purchases. This does not affect your genuine rights to dispute unauthorised transactions with your bank.
10. Your personal data
We process your personal data (such as your name, email, phone, the event city, and your ticket/purchase history) to process your purchase, issue and deliver your ticket, admit you, prevent fraud, and — where lawful and not opted out — to let the Organiser communicate with you about the event. How we handle your data, the lawful bases, and your rights are described in the Privacy Notice. You can opt out of Organiser marketing at any time.
11. Intellectual property
The eventOS platform, ticket designs, QR technology, and marks are owned by DZND or its licensors. Your ticket is a personal, non-transferable (except under clause 5) admission credential and grants you no rights in the Platform or the event's intellectual property.
12. Liability
12.1 The event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, eventOS is not liable for the event itself, its cancellation, quality, safety or delivery, the conduct of the Organiser, venue, performers or other attendees, or any loss arising from attending or being unable to attend.
12.2 Platform. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss.
12.3 Cap. eventOS's total aggregate liability to you in connection with a ticket purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that ticket through the Platform.
12.4 Non-excludable rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law, including your rights under the FCCPA and liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. Contact and complaints
- About a specific event, refund, or admission: contact the Organiser via the event page.
- About the eventOS platform, your ticket delivery, a payment reference, or your personal data: contact support@dznd.studio (platform) or privacy@dznd.studio (data). We aim to acknowledge within a reasonable time and respond within the timeframe required by law.
You may also have the right to complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) or, for data matters, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts. This does not affect mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes are posted here with a new "last updated" date.

People you may know
Where enabled, eventOS may show you People you may know as a limited social-discovery feature. Suggestions can be based on mutual connections, shared event groups and attendance on upcoming events that another attendee has chosen to make discoverable. A suggestion is not a representation by eventOS that you actually know, trust, or should meet that person.
People you may know does not create a public attendee directory. Existing connections, blocked relationships, deactivated accounts and profiles that are not eligible for discovery are excluded. You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow, connect with, message or meet another attendee. Blocking and applicable privacy controls affect future recommendation eligibility as described in the Privacy Notice.
